South London Letterpress are a London based traditional printing business that have been creating simply designed notecards since 2018.

Based in Clapham, karen founded the business because she felt there was a lack of good quality, reasonably priced thank you cards on the market at the time, so she decided to create them herself' several workshops later and the purchase of a vintage letterpress along with a ton of printing equipment, she was ready to go!

Her speciality is postcard style notecards, using FSC'rated quality card, with designs that come from vintage wooden blocks and metal fonts which have been sourced from around the UK'as old printing works are cleared out.'

The look is kept simple, fresh and elegant, using bright coloured inks impressed on to pristine white card by the hand operated press. Printing is done in small batches to reduce waste and avoid storage.

Bespoke commissions are a favourite part of Karen's work, which has included printing props for the Netflix production of 'Bridgerton'.
