University Researchers Conduct Advanced Testing on Honey and Wood Honey
A team of university researchers has begun a detailed study examining the natural properties of Honey and Wood honey, aiming to better understand their chemical composition, nutritional value, and potential health benefits. Working directly with fresh samples collected from local beekeepers, the researchers carefully document variations in colour, texture, and aroma before moving on to laboratory analysis.
The team focuses on how environmental factors, floral sources, and tree‑derived honeydew influence the structure of each sample. By comparing traditional blossom honey with wood honey, they hope to identify unique markers that distinguish the two and shed light on why wood honey often contains higher mineral content.
