Award-Winning Timeless Crackers Makes Its UK Debut at Spirit of Christmas

Aoife McHugh created Timeless Crackers after questioning why one of Christmas’s most cherished traditions was still based around a product designed to be enjoyed for seconds and then thrown away.

Her solution was not to change the tradition, but to redesign it.

Beautifully crafted in luxury fabrics, Timeless Crackers pull apart from either end just like the original. One person wins the gift and, importantly, there is still that unmistakable festive snap. A clever reusable fastening then allows each cracker to be reassembled, refilled and returned to the Christmas table year after year.

Aoife was so determined to preserve the authentic experience that it took almost a year to secure the necessary licence to import the snaps rather than compromise on this essential part of the tradition.

Her design was recognised with an Innovation Award in 2024.

“I never wanted sustainability to mean giving up the traditions we love. I wanted to preserve the magic of the original Christmas cracker while transforming something designed to last seconds into something beautiful enough to treasure for generations.”

Timeless Crackers also elevate the traditional paper cracker aesthetically. Created in beautiful fabrics, they become part of the festive tablescape rather than simply an accessory placed upon it.

The refillable design allows hosts to replace the generic novelty traditionally found inside a cracker with a thoughtful gift chosen especially for their guest.
