Begun in 1948, the Fiesta De La Vendimia celebrates the grape harvest and takes place in early September with a procession of girls in traditional dress carrying baskets of grapes, first to be blessed & then to the “treading of the grapes”. The poster captures this, using bunches of grapes to represent the girl’s dress. This is a recurring motif seen in many of these classic Jerez posters and underlies the importance of the sherry industry to the local economy.

The poster is in good condition, un-backed, complete and free from any paper loss or major tears. Small, age related, nicks are present at the edges. There is some impact damage and creasing visible in the upper right corner but this would disappear once framed under a mount.
