Chandrika presents a unique and a large rang of body luxurious fragrances and cashmere scarves, all inspired by the scents and colours of nature. Her creations are influenced by a love of flowers, plants and her travels to places as near as the parks and gardens of London and as far away as the exotic hills, cities and deserts of Europe, Africa and Asia. 

The Chandrika Thomas London story so far…

 

Chandrika Thomas London was established in 1989 with the help of the Princes’ Trust.

Chandrika knew from an early age that she wanted to develop and run her own business. And in 1989 aged just 18, Chandrika began creating bespoke couture wedding and evening gowns for individual clients. Chandrika realised her vision of creating a personal and unique business which would enable her to literally ‘design dreams’ for her clients.

 

As the business grew, a collection of 24 wedding gowns was created and exhibited twice yearly at the National Wedding Shows in Earl's Court and Olympia, as well as at exclusive shows such as One George Street. The Chandrika Thomas client base is a mixture of British and international brides who come from as far away as Eire, Germany, Turkey, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. In 2001 Chandrika Thomas also began to wholesale wedding dresses to boutiques across the UK.

 

Spreading our wings…

In 2009, in order to fulfil her lifetime ambition, Chandrika made the decision to expand the business in a new and complementary direction and create a range of luxury fragrances. It was her vision to design a collection of fragrances which would develop long-term repeat relationships with her clients so that they would return time and again to purchase her products.

 

A lifetime’s dreams in scent

Chandrika Thomas has now realised the dream of developing her very own unique fragrances. To this end she has created a scintillating collection of 12 luxury fine fragrances, each with its very own story of how it was inspired.

 

Marrakesh – a Morrocan Inspiration

Our current best seller, Marrakesh, has top notes of bergamot, orange blossom, lemon and mandarin and rich base notes of warm musk, cedarwood and patchouli, enhanced with amber crystals. Marrakesh was inspired by Chandrika's travels to the Four Seasons luxury resort in Marrakech, Morocco.

 

This fragrance fills the air with the beautiful aromas, bold colours and instantly invokes the atmosphere of Marrakech where exotic scents are carried on the gentle dry desert breezes which gently waft through the exotic souks in the fading evening light.

 

Fine fragrance launch

Chandrika Thomas collection of fine fragrances were officially launched at the Prince's Trust Tomorrow Store in March 2015 and debuted at the Spirit of Summer Show in June 2015 in London. 

 

We introduce to you our 11 unique and exciting new fragrances. Each has its own story of how it was developed, inspired and created. With a collection of twelve unique fragrances, an exotic mix of the aromas of teas, flowers and fruits that capture the scents and promise of exotic, faraway places, Marrakesh, Cocoa Bean and Juniper Berry, Assam Tea & Cardamom, Rose Orange Blossom & Cardamom, Grapefruit Lavender & Sage, Earl Grey,  Thyme & Mandarin Fig, Coriander & Olive, Desert Rose,Persian Rose, Fig Geranium.

Unique Selling Points

Chandrika Thomas London is unique in allowing customers to create their own personalised gift set of fragrances by choosing the scents that will form a selection gift box of three, four or six 15ml fragrances, or simply purchased as individual bottles of 15ml, 50 ml or 100ml.  Customer feedback confirms that they appreciate this concept as it differentiates the Chandrika Thomas London range of fragrances from other brands in that it is they, the customer, who chooses the combination of whichever 15ml fragrances they would like to include as part of their personalised selection.

This innovative idea has increased our repeat sales rate as customers then return to buy larger bottles of their favourite fragrances once they are familiar with their favourite scent.

 

Another unique selling point of the Chandrika Thomas London Fragrance range is the luxurious packaging in which the fragrance comes. We feel it is important to offer a personal service to customers. To this end customers can customise their gifts by choosing the colour of the box and ribbon when purchasing a gift for themselves or someone special.

Gift boxes can contain woven labels sewn into the interior of the lid, with a range of personalised messages such as Happy 50th Birthday, Merry Christmas, Happy Mother's Day, Thank you for coming to our wedding or, To my Valentine, which allows for a very personalised gift. An additional service using a personalised woven label, for example to include the recipient's name or a special date can be provided to personalise gifts further.

Further Diversification

The Chandrika Thomas London brand has further plans to diversify and grow its range of high end personalised products with the same Chandrika Thomas ethos. Currently in development these include decadent chocolates and teas that reflect the aromas of the fragrance collection.

 

Premium Luxury Spa Products

Also in development is a range of luxury spa products - including luxurious body creams, bath oils, shower gels and candles which all complement the Chandrika Thomas London fragrance range. A premium collection of six fragrances aimed at an exclusive clientele has also been developed.

 

Website Re-launch

The Chandrika Thomas www.chandrikathomas.co.uk website is currently undergoing a redesign in preparation for a re-launch in Novermber 2018 to capture new clients in the Christmas season.
