Knuckey Furniture feel proud to be launching their brand new venture into handmade wooden gifts and accessories, at this year’s Spirit of Christmas Show. This November, Knuckey Accessories will be introducing the complete range of small hand crafted pieces alongside the mail order website for online shopping.

John Knuckey and Jane Snow, the partnership and craftsmanship behind the business, were inspired to expand the brand after the success of their bestselling assortment of trays. Focussing on making a more sophisticated collection of trays, motivated them to experiment with making a series of smaller utilitarian pieces. This has resulted in a spectacular selection of accessories made from some of the most luxurious and exotic woods grown all over the world.

From the initial design process to the final product, the accessories gradually take form through endless sketches and elaborate prototypes. The process of making the accessories can take many months, from sourcing the woods and materials to the expert craftsmanship. Jane and John tend to source woods with a decorative grain, like flame, burr and curl.  These timbers, traditionally used for book matching, create unique items, intended to last a lifetime.  Although the designs can be repeated the natural individuality of the wood means each piece may vary slightly. Each accessory is stamped and numbered giving the work provenance.
